A Seamless Journey to Your Dream Home

At MA Peterson, we believe in a structured and transparent process to turn your vision into reality. Our comprehensive design-build approach ensures every detail is meticulously planned and executed, providing you with a stress-free experience.

From the initial phone call to the final walk-through, our dedicated team is with you every step of the way, ensuring your project exceeds expectations.

Our Design-Build Process

01

DESIGN | CURRENT SPACE

With a Design Agreement we start by creating a digital replication of your home’s floor plan (at least the areas we plan on working in). We often use modern technology like MatterPort to scan and capture a 3D model. The point is to get a super accurate starting point from which we can design. This typically takes a few weeks.

DESIGN | YOUR DREAM

This is your project and your dream – and we want to understand as much as we can. We meet to listen to your goals, priorities, and dreams. Homeowners often find it helpful to show us pictures on websites like Houzz or Pinterest that they’ve found inspirational. Want a list of questions to get you thinking? Try out these for starters!

DESIGN | CONCEPT

With the vision you’ve laid out for us, we get to work creating concepts for your new space. As we collaborate with you, we hone in on the plan you love most. With that plan we create more refined drawings and provide a project cost estimate (within 10%). Your availability to meet and decisiveness drives this stage’s duration.

DESIGN | DEVELOPMENT

Upon your approval of a concept and project estimate, we develop those plans with all the details needed for permitting and building. Depending on the size of your project this can
take weeks or months. You will be introduced to an Interior Designer to help guide you through the maze of selections that will be needed to reflect your personal taste.

BUILD | READY…

With your detailed plans almost complete, we’ll have several of our trade partners walk through your house to confirm their bids. Soon after we’ll be ready to present you with the final scope of work and contract for your construction project!

BUILD | …SET…

With a signed contract our production team kicks into hyper-drive to obtain a permit and get labor scheduled and materials ordered. Our goal is to start within 4 weeks of a signed contract. We’ll give you a schedule so you know what’s happening and when you can expect your project to be completed.

BUILD | …GO!

Construction is often the hardest stage for our homeowners. Your beautiful plans don’t come to life in a 40-minute HGTV episode! Construction is loud and messy. Our Project Managers are there to help you through and keep you up to date. Remodels can take 90 days to 6 months to complete. New homes are typically between 12-18 months.

BUILD | LIVE YOUR DREAM

Upon the completion of construction, we celebrate your space with you and promise to come alongside with any warranty issues.
